How to Delete Your Account

We respect your right to delete your account and all associated data. You can request account deletion through any of the following methods:

Method 1: In-App Deletion

  1. Open the Makan app
  2. Go to Profile (user icon)
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm deletion by entering your password

Method 2: Via Email

Send an email to delete@makan.app from the email address associated with your account with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 48 hours.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, email, photo)
  • All saved places, sections, and categories
  • Your collections and shared content
  • Your ratings and notes
  • Travel group memberships

Warning: This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, no data can be recovered. We recommend exporting your data before proceeding.

Data Retention Period

After submitting a deletion request, your account and data will be removed within 30 days. During this period, your account will be deactivated immediately.
